Lake Mburo park is Uganda’s smallest savannah national park situated in Kiruhura district western Uganda home to up to 68 mammal species & up to 350 bird species. The park is home to 5 small lakes which are part of a long 50 km wetland system but is dominated by woodland since there are no elephants to tame the vegetation. The western part of Lake Mburo is covered by rocky ridges & forested gorges with small patches of papyrus swamp.

Getting there – A road trip from Kampala to Lake Mburo national park with last about 4 and half hours using the Masaka road & Mbarara-Masaka road. it will only take about 2 hours if you are traveling from Mbarara.
