3 Days Bwindi Gorilla Safari

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi National Park

Travel begins with an early morning pick-up from the hotel in Kampala or Entebbe. The journey to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park includes scenic drives through districts like Wakiso, Mpigi, and Masaka, with a stop at the Equator for photos and a cultural visit to the Igongo Cultural Centre for lunch. Arriving in Bwindi in the late afternoon, guests check in to their lodge, which varies from budget to luxury options, followed by dinner and an overnight stay, preparing for the adventure ahead.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking begins

After an early breakfast, the day is centered around the once-in-a-lifetime gorilla trekking experience. At the park headquarters, a briefing is conducted to explain the gorilla trekking rules and safety guidelines. The trekking itself may last from 3 to 8 hours depending on the gorilla family’s location, with guides sharing knowledge about forest flora and fauna along the way. Upon finding the gorillas, visitors spend a memorable hour observing and photographing these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. After trekking back, guests return to their lodge for dinner and relaxation. Optional activities in the afternoon may include guided village walks or visits to local Batwa communities to learn about their culture.

Day 3: Depature

Following breakfast and check-out, the journey back to Kampala begins. The drive includes stops for lunch and additional photo opportunities at the Equator. The safari concludes with a drop-off at the hotel in Kampala in the evening, wrapping up the immersive gorilla encounter and cultural experience.
