5 Days Bwindi & Queen Elizabeth Safari

Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Your adventure begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Kampala. Enjoy the scenic drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, famous for its dense vegetation and diverse wildlife. En route, make a stop at the Equator for photos and brief refreshment. Continue through Uganda’s beautiful countryside, rich with rolling hills and rural villages. Upon arrival at Bwindi, check into your lodge and relax in preparation for the exciting days ahead.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest

After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking rules and safety. Trek through lush, mountainous rainforest guided by expert trackers to find one of the gorilla families living in Bwindi. This unique experience allows you to observe mountain gorillas in their natural habitat for up to one hour. Later, return to your lodge for a well-deserved rest or opt for a cultural visit to local Batwa communities.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park with Ishasha Visit

Depart Bwindi and journey towards Queen Elizabeth National Park. On the way, explore the famous Ishasha sector, renowned for its rare tree-climbing lions. Take a game drive in this area spotting elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, and other wildlife amid breathtaking landscapes. After the safari drive, continue to your lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Morning Game Drive and Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise

Begin with an early morning game drive along the Kasenyi plains, where you have a chance to spot lions, leopards, elephants, and other wildlife including over 600 bird species. After lunch, embark on a relaxing two-hour boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake Edward and Lake George. Witness large concentrations of hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, and numerous bird species drinking along the water’s edge. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Departure to Kampala

After breakfast, check out and begin your journey back to Kampala. Optionally stop at the Equator for photos and shopping at local craft markets. Arrive in Kampala in time for your onward travel arrangements or flight home.
